WVA Board of Directors
Volunteers Needed for Board of Directors
Appointments are for two year terms. Individuals who stand for election shall be recognized supporters of persons with disabilities. They will be selected from a broad range of personal and professional fields of endeavour and from public and private sectors. They shall be committed to the mission and purpose of WVA and have the ability to show a commitment to WVA Board roles and responsibilities. Nominees shall be residents of the State of West Virginia. WVA by-laws prohibit persons with conflicts of interest, or who provide treatment, services or habilitation to individuals with disabilities from being members of the Board. All nominations will be reviewed by the Membership Committee. Election will be in accordance with the by-laws of WVA. Board meetings are the second Saturday of the odd months. Board members do not receive any salary for their services, but may receive pre-approved reimbursement for reasonable expenses occurred in their obligations as Board members, as defined by the Corporation's established policy and procedures in regard to reimbursement of expenses.
